Ella Mai Howell is a singer and songwriter who sings the Rand B genre in London. Mais’s career in music began when she auditioned in 2014 as a member of a trio on The X factor season 11, which is a London British and Irish modern music Institute.
She was born on November 3, 1994, in London, United Kingdom. Mai was endorsed by American record producer Mustard in his record label, 10 Summers record in 2015 after she uploaded an EP with four-track solo originals to Soundcloud with the title Trouble.
On the label, Mai was released from 2016 to 2018, three EPs including Change, Time and Ready. In October 2018, she released to the market her first self-titled studio album with the singles “Trip” and “Boo’d Up” which reached the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 11 and 5.
Her song Boo’d Up was nominated in 2019 for two Grammy Awards: Best Rand B song and Song of the year and was also nominated by the 2019 Brit Awards for British Breakthrough Act.
