On November 20, 2017, he attained a career-high ranking of No. 2 in doubles and No. 8 in singles (on 10 September 2018).

Sock has won four major doubles titles: one in mixed doubles at the 2011 US Open with Melanie Oudin, three in men’s doubles at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships with Vasek Pospisil, and one each at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships and US Open with Mike Bryan.

Sock and Oudin won the mixed doubles championship. Sock and Mike Bryan also won the men’s doubles tournament at the 2018 ATP Finals.

Sock earned two medals at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro: a gold in the mixed doubles event with Bethanie Mattek-Sands and a bronze in the men’s doubles event with Steve Johnson.
