In Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Oxford Apartments at 924 North 25th Street, Dahmer the renounced serial killer who murdered about 17 boys and men resided in unit 213. Along with showing his actual apartment, the series makes extensive use of a facsimile of it.

We learn through the Netflix series that the police thought he deliberately moved into the low-income, largely Black neighbourhood in order to prey on young gay guys. However, Dahmer disputed this, claiming he could only afford that.

There were 49 one-bedroom flats in the building, with numerous neighbours, especially his next-door neighbor Glenda Cleveland (played by Niecy Nash in the series), she voiced their displeasure with his actions and the odor emanating from his flat.

Does Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment still exist?

People have wondered if Dahmer’s apartment still exist and we’ve taken it upon ourselves to answer that.

Well, the reality is that, several Oxford Apartments tenants who were in the same apartment with Dahmer left right away after Dahmer was taken into custody. Although the flats were still available for rent, there weren’t many tenants occupying it because of the dreadful killings that occurred there.

It will interest you to know that, the structure is no longer standing today. Families of the victims asked for Dahmer’s apartment complex to be fully dismantled, and their wish were granted.

According to Marquette Wire, developer Ogden Homes was not allowed to erect any additional structures on the land after purchasing it from the city for only $500 in 2012.

The Milwaukee site is now a barred metal fence-enclosed empty area with plenty of greenery and no grim allusion to Dahmer.
