On May 9, 1975, in Lincoln, American professional football coach Lane Kiffin was born. Lane Kiffin is the current head coach of Ole Miss rebels.
In the early days of his career, Kiffin spent one season as an assistant coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL before joining USC. After serving as a positions coach for the Fresno State Bulldogs for three seasons, and then serving for one season as the positions coach at Colorado State, Kiffin spent one season in the NFL.
During his three-year tenure at Florida Atlantic, Kiffin once again rose to the top of the coaching world. He guided the Owls to back-to-back Conference USA titles. At the University of Alabama, where he built some of the best offensive systems in college football, Kiffin previously served as offensive coordinator for three seasons.
