Jesse as well played the role as Ralph Furley on the highly-rated sitcom Three’s Company. The role lasted from 1979 to 1984.

In the 1940s, before Jesse earned his college degree, he served in the United States Army. Jesse took part in the second World War.

After his service in the army, Jesse then got his first major break on television in the soap opera Search for tomorrow. Jess made appearances from 1953 to 1955. Jesse then grabbed major attention as part of the repertory company on Steve Allen’s variety show. On the show, Jesse played the “extremely nervous man” in Allen’s mock “Man in the Street” interviews. In the year 1958, Jesse made his film debut in the adapted version of No Time for Sergeants.
