This indicates the opposition party has a point in rejecting the election results, branding it as flawed and discredited elections.

Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu in a statement said: “as a party, we have done extensive consultation and detailed analysis of the outcome of the elections as announced by Jean Mensah… and we have come to one conclusion and that’s, it is a flawed, discredited election and therefore we reject without any reservations… we reject the presidential elections results as announced by her”

He continued: “and we also want to serve notice that the blatant effort to deny us of a parliamentary majority will be fiercely resisted. We know that the good people of Ghana gave us a mandate and that mandate included a parliamentary majority that they are engaged in an attempt in connivance with the Electoral commission to undermine and to reduce through brut force and military excessive behaviour”
