The 2020 Ghana elections is over and the NDC party says they won’t accept the results as declared by the Electoral commission chairperson, Jean Mensa.
According to the NDC, the results have irregularities that gave unfair advantage to the president elect, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Well, US based Ghanaian social media sensation, Twene Jonas has come out to explain why the EC can never be fair in the dispensation of their duties.
Speaking in a live video, Jonas said this is simply because the chairperson of the day gets appointed by the ruling Government so anything they do would be to please the one who appointed them.
He noted that before the EC can be fair, their appointment must be devoid of government interference.
Jonas stated that every reasonable person would support someone who puts food on their table.
So the EC chair knows she was appointed by the NPP and once she declares NDC as winners, she would be replaced with another person. Hence, in her wisdom, she’ll do everything she can to favour those who appointed her so that she won’t also lose her job.
