Evels began playing football at FV Lochgau and then moved to the United States in 2012, where she spent two years at Shattuck St. Mary’s High School in Minnesota, where she was a member of the school’s varsity football team.
During the summer of 2014, she signed a contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim that was for a period of two years. There, she was technically a member of the roster for the second team, but she played all of the pre-season games with the Bundesliga squad.
