Eoin Christopher Macken was born in Dublin, Ireland, on 21 February 1983 – his zodiac sign is Pisces and he holds Irish nationality. He is an actor, perhaps best known for his portrayal of the lead character T. C. Callahan in the romantic series “The Night Shift”, which aired from 2014 to 2017 and was created by Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs. It also starred Jill Flint and Brendan Fehr, and it followed a team of doctors who come back from the Army to work at a San Antonio hospital – it won three awards and was nominated for two others.

Early life and education

Eoin was raised in Dublin alongside his two sisters, by their father who was a Barrister at Law and who died in 2007, and their mother who was a hairdresser.

Eoin was very sporting while attending high school, as he played soccer for the school’s team and was also practicing Gaelic football and lacrosse. Upon matriculation in 2001, he enrolled at University College, Dublin, where he became interested in acting. He was invited to take part in the university’s fashion show in both 2002 and 2003, and after being noticed by a modelling scout, he was signed to the Morgan Agency, eventually becoming the face of their campaign for Abercrombie and Fitch. Some of the other famous brands which he has modelled for include GQ and Ralph Lauren. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2005.

Eoin made his debut film appearance in 2006, when he portrayed the lead character The Gunman in the short film “Triple Bill”, written and directed by Rick Larkin, and which also starred Emmett J Scanlan and Aisling Bodkin. In the same year he played the supporting character Tosh in the sports comedy film “Studs”, which is about the bottom rated soccer team in search of a new coach – it was nominated for four awards.

Some of Eoin’s following roles were in the short crime movie “Paddy’s in the Boot”, in which he played the lead character Sean Ennis in 2015, the science fiction action movie “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” in which he played Doc in 2016, and the romantic comedy “The Wedding Invitation” in which he starred as Graham in 2017. Eoin has six roles in TV series credited to his name. He made his debut TV series appearance in 2008, when he guest starred as Gavin Cluxton in the tenth episode of the 19th season of the Irish soap opera “Fair City”, which has been airing since 1989 and which currently counts around 1670 episodes.

In 2010, he appeared as Jack in a single episode of the Irish series “RAW”, created by Lisa McGee and starring Charlene McKenna and Keith McErlean, which follows the lives of people working at the restaurant Raw in Dublin; the series won one award and was nominated for seven others. In the same year, Eoin played an English Officer in the historical fiction series “The Tudors”, which follows a family living in England in the 16th Century.
