On April 12, 1994, Eric Bertrand Bailly was born. He is a professional footballer from Ivory Coast who competes for both the Ivory Coast national team and Premier League club Manchester United.

He can play as a right-back in addition to his primary position as a central defender.

Prior to joining Villarreal, Bailly began his professional career at Espanyol in Spain.

He played for the team for two seasons before deciding to join Manchester United in June 2016.

He represented the Ivory Coast for the first time at the international level in 2015, aiding them in winning the Africa Cup of Nations. He also participated in the 2020 Olympics and two further African games.

Bailly was a member of Hervé Renard’s 23-man team for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations on December 29, 2014.

He made his debut on January 11 against Nigeria in a friendly, and he played in each of the competition’s six games as his team won.

He was selected for the Elephants’ squad once more for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon. He played in all three of the tournament’s matches, which ended in the group stage.
