Erick Adame was fired when an unknown individual sent explicit photographs from an internet video discussion to his bosses and mother. Adame apologized to his supervisors, workers, audience, family, and friends for “any disgrace or humiliation I have caused you” in his message, and indicated that he is seeking professional treatment.
Adame is not the first TV meteorologist to be fired due to inappropriate images. NBC affiliate WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Virginia, dismissed meteorologist Jamey Singleton in 2006 after a naked image of him exiting the shower was posted on someone else’s MySpace page.
