Haaland was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, while his father, Alfie Haaland, was playing for Leeds United in the Premier League. When he was three years old, he moved to Bryne, his parent’s hometown in Norway. In addition to football, Haaland was involved in a range of other sports as a child, including handball, golf, and track and field. When he was five years old, he established a world record in his age group for the standing long jump, jumping 1.63 meters.
