Esme Beth Morgan is an English professional footballer, who was born on the 18th of October, in 2000, she currently plays for Manchester City in the Women’s Super League and also for the England women’s national team, as a defender.
Morgan, who is a Manchester City youth team product, has spent her whole career at the club, including a loan spell at Everton for the 2019-20 season. She made her senior debut against Yeovil Town on September 24, 2017.
Morgan suffered a lower leg fracture when she was in Tottenham in September 2021 at Manchester City’s Academy Stadium. She has now returned to the main lineup and made her England debut.
Morgan captained her club for the first time in a 3-0 victory over Reading on November 6, 2022. She has played at all minor levels of the England national team setup since being called up to the U-17 national team in 2017 and earned her first senior cap for the England women’s national team on October 12, 2022, when she came on as a half-time substitute in an international friendly against the Czech Republic.
