Ethan Pinnock started out as a left winger or left back, from the age of nine to fifteen, Pinnock participated in the Millwall academy.
He joined the youth program at Isthmian League team Dulwich Hamlet after stints with Fisher Athletic London, AFC Wimbledon, and Glebe. During the 2010–11 season, he advanced to the first team’s fringe group of players.
During that time, he spent a loan to Kent County League Premier Division club Holmesdale, where he served as a utility player. And during his stay with the club, Pinnock experienced a growth spurt that allowed him to be transformed into a center defender. He had previously been used as a central midfielder as well.
Pinnock was selected to play for England C in October 2016 and earned his lone cap in a 2-1 victory over Estonia U23 in November of that same year. For a friendly match against the United States in March 2021, Pinnock was one of six English-born players to receive their first call-up to the Jamaican national team. Which he participated in the first 64 minutes of the 4-1 loss.
