Forensic Files Vicki Lynne Hoskinson

Vicky Lynne Hoskinson was an 8-year-old American who was abducted and killed in September 1984. Her dead body was found seven months later in the Sonoran Desert near Tucson on 12 April 1985.

By any account, Vicky left home that fateful day with permission from her mother to ride her bicycle to a mailbox to mail a birthday card to her aunt but never returned.

Her bicycle was later found by her older sister, Stephanie when their mother sent her to go look for her.

Through witness accounts and physical evidence, Vicky’s abductor, Frank Jarvis Atwood, was traced and arrested.

He was sentenced to death and was executed by lethal injection on 8 June 2022.
