The prestea born striker went on to play for kpando hearts of Lions before making a switch on loan to Tunisian side Esperance Tunish.
He was part of Tursker FC squad that won the KPL title and FKF Shield Cup in 2016 before being released alongside some other 13 players by the club due to poor performances.
Former Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Federation of Kenya Football confirmed on Twitter that Owusu couldn’t make it Saturday evening after a battle with a long illness that forced him to come back to Ghana.
