Uzoho began his football career as a forward in a Qatari football academy in 2013. After converting to the goalkeeper in 2016, Francis was spotted by Spanish club Deportivo de La Corua, who signed him in January.
However, due to his age, Francis did not play for the senior team until September 10. Following that, on October 15, 2017, Francis made his La Liga debut.
That debut, at the age of 18 years and 352 days, made him the youngest foreign goalkeeper to ever play in La Liga. In the 2017/2018 season, Francis was also named the second-youngest player in La Liga.
