The “happiest phase of his professional life,” according to Frank, was his time with Dad’s Army.

A report on his demise says;

“We are grateful for the years of love, joy, and happiness he brought to so many people. He was nearly 91 years old.” Frank, many thanks for your help.

His portrayal of Timothy Farthing in the BBC sitcom Dad’s Army earned him widespread acclaim.

It was reported on Facebook that “very sad to report that our dear friend, colleague, and actor, Frank Williams, passed away this morning.”

At the Watford Palace Theatre, which was run by Jimmy Perry, the playwright of Dad’s Arm, he started his acting career in repertory theater.

Thankfully, he continued to make appearances in the majority of the shows and even the two major motion pictures.
