Funke Akindele arrested for organising birthday party during Coronavirus lockdown

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has placed a restriction order that prevents people from organizing parties and any kind of social gathering.

It’s however sad that Funke Akindele of Jenifa’s Diary fame and her husband JJC Skillz have violated this regulation after throwing a birthday party in their home.

The birthday party had Naira Marley among other known faces in attendance.

This led to a public outcry of people accusing Funke Akindele and her husband JJC Skillz of being careless.

Well, as it stands, the actress has been arrested by the Lagos Police command.

A statement from the spokesperson of the police command reads:

Funke Akindele arrested for violating restriction orders in Lagos

The Attention of Lagos State Police Command was drawn to a viral video showing a large number of persons mainly in the entertainment industry in an Estate, along Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki axis, Lagos celebrating a birthday party organised by Funke Akindele Bello and her husband.

Police detectives from the State CID Yaba were promptly drafted to the location.

Funke Akindele was arrested.”.

The statement adds that the police is in search for her hubby and Naira Marley

Investigation is ongoing, efforts are intensified to arrest the remaining persons in the video, among whom are Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley and Abdul Rasheed Bello a.k.a. JJC Skillz.

They are in their best interests urged to report at the State CID Yaba on Monday 6th April, 2020 or risk being declared wanted.
