Because there was already a well-known performer working in the film industry under the name Jennifer Jones, Gemma was forced to alter her identity before she could launch a career in the entertainment business. As Gemma’s pseudonym, her father decided to use the name of one of the main characters from the British drama film ‘Escape Me Never,’ which was released in 1935 and in which he had a starring role.
Jones and Jason Saunders were teammates in the Nacra 17 competition that took place during the 2016 Summer Olympics. At the 2015 Nacra World Championships, Jones and Saunders had the fourth-place result overall.
