George Henry Burditt was born on July 29, 1923, in Boston, Massachusetts, to John and Dorothy Burditt.

He was an American television writer and producer who penned sketches for variety shows and other shows including Three’s Company, for which he was also an executive producer in the later seasons.

Burditt was nominated twice for The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour and Van Dyke and Company in the writing categories, alongside his writing crew, which included his writing partner Paul Wayne.

On May 11, 1957, he married Joyce Rebeta-Burditt in the city, who eventually became a writer as well.

Before they married, they both worked at the same company: Joyce was an employee who wrote greeting card poetry, while George was her employer.

She was sacked from the corporation after only three weeks on the job.

His cause of death is not known to the public. He died peacefully in Burbank, California, United States, on June 25, 2013.
