Just some few hours ago, we reported here on an arm-robbery attack that happened this afternoon at Tema – around Danny’s Bridal Home Near TDC Traffic Light Comm. 1. Tema.

The Ghana Police Service has released a statement via their official Facebook page on what actually transpired.

Apparently, it was two robbers that were shot dead.

According to the statement, the 2 robbers snatched GHS123,345 from a man called Mashood Hamid who went to withdraw the money from Zenith Bank.

The robbers snatched the money from him by shooting his car tyres when he stopped in traffic TDC traffic light.

Mr. Mashood reported the cases to the police and they responded.

During a cross-fire with the arm-robbers, the police shot the two of them dead.

The stolen money was scattered on the floor as a result, thus, making people to pick it up.

The rest of the money which was recovered by Mr. Mashood after the incident was GHS2,500.

The police is using this as an opportunity to send a piece of warning to all criminally minded people out there to be cautious because they are watching with eagle eyes..

This afternoon, 23/04/2020 one Mashood Hamid called on the Tema Regional CID to report that at about 12.30pm he went to the Zenith Bank, Tema Branch to withdraw 123, 345.00Ghc but was robbed by two people on a motorbike who immobilized his car by shooting at the tyres, on reaching the TDC traffic light.
Police responded and exchanged fire with the robbers.

The two robbers died in the process, while the money scattered on the streets and were scrambled by people around, leaving only 2,500.00 Ghc salvaged by the complainant. This is a warning to all criminally minded persons to turn over a new leaf and an assurance to well-meaning Ghanaians and residents that your Police is at work.
