Ghana and Rwanda have signed a General Cooperation Agreement that will lay the foundation for the establishment of a Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation between the two countries.

This Agreement shall encourage co-operation
arnong others:
in the following fields
a) Economic, Trade and Investment;
b) Energy and Mineral Resources;
c) Agriculture and Livestock Development;
d) Education, Health, Tourism and Culture;
e) Science and Technologs;
0 Security and Military Cooperation;
g) Foreign Affairs, Legaf and Judicial Matters

The Commission shall be responsible for the planning and
implementation of bilateral programmes of Cooperation in order to encourage
and promote the development of Ghana and Liberia; carryr out studies and
investigations leading to the determination of the most appropriate form of
Cooperation to be established.

a) The Commission shall hold meetings once every two years, on dates
convenient to the Commission. It may however, hold Extraordinary
Sessions as and when it is necessa_rv:
b) The Commission shall meet a-lternativelv in the two countries;
c) The exact venue will be decided by the host country; I
d) The Commission shall have the power to determine its own procedure.
