Graeme McDowell MBE is a professional golfer from Northern Ireland who participates in the PGA Tour and the European Tour.
He is best known for breaking a 40-year European drought by winning the 2010 US Open at Pebble Beach.
McDowell has 11 European Tour victories and four PGA Tour victories.
He’s also played four times for the European Ryder Cup team and has represented Ireland in the World Cup. He has ranked in the top ten of the Official World Golf Rankings on several occasions, with a high of fourth (January to March 2011).

His siblings are Gary McDowell and George McDowell. McDowell debuted on the European Tour in 2002, winning the Volvo Scandinavian Masters on his fourth appearance.
As a result of his victory, McDowell was given honorary life membership at the Royal Portrush Golf Club.
He did not win in his second season, but he did win the Telecom Italia Open in 2004 and ended sixth on the European Tour’s Order of Merit. He split his time between the European and American PGA Tours in 2005.
