Bueno, a Vigo native, played for the CD Areosa academy until switching to the Deportivo La Corua program in 2020. After playing for Deportivo La Corua for a season, he signed a three-year contract with German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021. He first played for the club’s reserve squad.
Deportivo reportedly made Bueno an offer of a contract extension, but he reportedly declined it despite being under contract there until 2022. Deportivo claimed that Bueno’s transfer to Dortmund was illegal and threatened legal action. On October 24, 2021, he entered the game for the Dortmund reserve team as a substitute in a 1-0 loss to Viktoria Köln in the 3. Liga.
