Haji Amir Wright, an American, was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 27, 1998. He represents the US team and Antalyaspor in professional soccer. Wright’s finishing, ability to win headers and quickness earned him praise from several media outlets as one of the top prospects in the American youth system.

He comes from a sporting family. Hanif, Haji’s brother, plays for the Bonner SC under-19 team. Three of Haji’s cousins are athletes: Joseph Putu is a cornerback for the Florida Gators; Isaac Nana Addai won the 2007 Super Bowl with the Indianapolis Colts, and Joseph Addai plays football for Boston City FC and the Liberia national under-23 team.

Wright formally agreed to a fixed-term contract with the NASL team New York Cosmos in March 2015 for an unknown sum of money. After the season, Wright’s contract came to an end, and he opted not to renew it.

Wright played a total of 80 minutes in three league games while he was a member of the Cosmos. On July 26, 2015, he made his playing debut against Indy Eleven. On July 19, 2022, Wright and Antalyaspor came to a three-year pact.
