Hajime Moriyasu (, Moriyasu Hajime, born August 23, 1968) is a former Japanese football manager.
In 14 years with Sanfrecce Hiroshima, he made over 250 appearances, including a year on loan to Kyoto Purple Sanga, before finishing his career with Vegalta Sendai.
He also made 35 appearances for Japan’s national team. His brother Hiroshi, as well as his sons Shohei and Keigo, are all football players.
He currently serves as the manager of Japan’s senior and Olympic teams.
Moriyasu attended Nagasaki Nihon University High School and played for them.
In 1987, after finishing high school, he joined Mazda of the Japan Soccer League.
Hans Ooft, the team’s new manager, regarded him highly and established him as an anchoring midfielder.
Moriyasu had a trial at Manchester United in April 1990. In 1992, Ooft was appointed as the national coach of Japan.
On May 31, 1992, at the Tokyo National Stadium, Ooft called up and played Moriyasu in his first match as manager against Argentina.

His salary is being reconsidered. From the 2004 season, Moriyasu was a coach for Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
He also coached Japan’s national youth team, which competed in the AFC Youth Championship in 2006 and the U-20 World Cup in 2007.
From 2007 to 2009, he coached the Hiroshima first team before moving on to Albirex Niigata
