Harley was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and was also Jewish he was known to grow up in a typical Ashkenazi home.
Pasternak is having a degree in kinesiology which he had from the University of Western Ontario where he graduated from and also holds a master’s degree in exercise physiology and nutritional sciences which he acquired from the University of Toronto.
Harley was serving as a nutrition and exercise scientist at the Department of National Defence and Civil Institute for Environmental Medicine in the year 2005 to 2007 during his time at U of T.
Pasternak was such a great person at his job that made his work was recognized in the science journals of Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise which was in the year 2003 and also the Canadian Journal of Sports Medicine.
