Harry Gration, MBE, DL is an English journalist and broadcaster. He was created in Bradford on October 22, 1950, as one of the primary anchors for the Look North regional magazine program on BBC Yorkshire.
After graduating from St. Peter’s School in York, he spent five years working as a history teacher before accepting a post as the head of the history department at The Rodillian Academy in Lofthouse, Leeds.
He acquired his education there.
He left his position as a teacher and entirely devoted himself to the radio when he joined BBC Radio Leeds in 1978.
As of the end of 2018, Gration has been a broadcaster with the BBC for around 40 years, despite briefly co-hosting BBC South Today with Sally Taylor from 1995 to 1999.
