Mayim Bialik began her acting career as an actor when she was a youngster in the late 1980s, owing to her enthusiasm and love for the craft. In 1988, she made her acting debut in the horror film Pumpkinhead, which was followed by cameos on The Facts of Life (two episodes in the last season) and Beauty and the Beast.

 

Frieda, Webster’s classmate, was her character on the comedy Webster from 1988 to 1989, appearing in eight episodes. Her portrayal of Ellie, a sewer-dwelling youngster, in Beauty and the Beast earned her a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) card (with roughly ten lines of dialogue).
