Thomas Müller, a German professional football player who plays for and is the vice-captain of Bayern Munich, was born on September 13, 1989. Müller has made 100 appearances for Germany. Müller is a talented player who can play both forward and midfield. In terms of attacking positions, he has played attacking midfielder, second striker, centre forward, and on either side. His placement, teamwork, stamina, work ethic, and consistency in both scoring and setting up goals have all drawn accolades.

In February 2009, Müller and Holger Badstuber, a member of the Bayern Munich first team, were given a two-year contract. He advanced under Louis van Gaal, who picked him for every Bundesliga match for Bayern Munich in the 2009–10 season and the Inter Milan–winning UEFA Champions League final.
