Some of the foreign languages she sung in included English, Indonesian, Russian, Dutch, Nepali, and Swahili. With a dint of hardwork in the music industry, Lata was honored with several accolades and honors throughout her career as a singer. In the year 1989, the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award was bestowed on Lata by the Government Of India. in recognition of Lata’s amazing contributions to the Indian nation, she was also honored with the inviable Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour which makes her only the second female singer, after M.S Subbulakshmi to receive this honour.

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar died at the age of 92. According to Dr Pratit Samdani, the dorctor who was treating the singer at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital confirmed that Lata Mangeshkar passed away due to multiple organ failure.
