Malti Devi was a political and social worker who was elected to the Nawada constituency in the Indian state of Bihar on the Rashtriya Janata Dal party ticket. Malti Devi was born in Manglagori village, Gaya district, Bihar, India, on August 5, 1968. Devi married Bhubaneshwar Prasad in 1984, and the couple has two sons. Malti Devi abandoned the school in 1980. Devi was the Farmers Movement’s leader and a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist). Devi advocated for women, landless farmers, and tribals in central and southern Bihar. In 1995, Devi resigned from the C.P.I. (ML).

Devi was elected to the 12th Lok Sabha after serving in the Bihar Legislative Assembly from 1995 to 1998. Devi also served on the Committee on Urban and Rural Development and its Sub-Committee-I on Urban Affairs and Employment, as well as the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to her doctor, Malti Devi died of cancer at home.
