Pearl Shongwe the eloquent and elegant was an entrepreneur and a voice actress who won the heart of thousands with her finesse during news reading and what a loss her death brings especially to the media world! Pearl Shongwe was born in Soweto, South Africa on the 3rd of January, 1967. She had a thing for beauty as she was even a Miss Soweto finalist in 2011and desperately wanted to be a model before giving up on such dreams as she literally said it came at a price too expensive for her. As aforementioned, she, until her death was a newscaster at Metro Fm and was in charge of the show ‘Touchdown with TBO touch’ as well as a host on the show ‘The Daily Thetha’ and until her unfortunate demise, was such a powerful force in the South Africa Media landscape.
How did Pearl Shongwe die?
Pearl Shongwe was found dead in her Johannesburg apartment and according to her family, died in her sleep. Our condolence to the people of South Africa and her family as well for such a huge loss.
