Zyon Gilbert, a cornerback with the New York Giants in the National Football League, was created on February 4, 1999. Gilbert was a Florida Atlantic University football player before being signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2022.

Gilbert played football at two positions while a student at Jefferson Davis High School and twice received all-state recognition.

At a season-ending banquet, he was recognized as the school’s “speed award” winner, top defensive back, and best two-way player. Three-star recruit Gilbert made the decision to enroll at Florida Atlantic. As a true freshman in 2017, Gilbert started as the team’s starting linebacker and has since made 52 total tackles in 14 games.

He proceeded to start all 12 of his games in 2018, recording 51 tackles overall. Gilbert finished the season with 48 tackles, 10 passes defended, two interceptions, and a forced fumble, earning honorable mention all-conference recognition.

How Good Is Zyon Gilbert?

Gilbert is a gifted athlete with grace and quickness. When he is not in coverage, he seems more at ease and is able to sit and break on throws.
