The Packers’ wide receiver Davante Adams was the source of concern after suffering a serious injury midway through the fourth quarter of the Packers’ 30-28 victory over the 49ers. When Jimmie Ward sprinted across the field to try to catch a big throw, Aaron Rodgers was looking for it.
Adams was unable to keep the ball under control.
Ward then struck Adams with a bone-crunching punch, temporarily immobilizing him on the field. He appeared to have sustained a serious injury, possibly a concussion.
Adams, on the other hand, looked to have stopped breathing just then. He was allowed to rejoin the game after only one play.
