David Dryden was born to Murray Dryden, his late father who was a philanthropist and Margaret Dryden, a homemaker. Dave also grew up with his two siblings, Ken Dryden who is a politician and a former ice hockey player just as his brother who he once faced and a sister called Judy Dryden.
With respect to his personal life, Dave Dryden was married to Sandra Dryden and they were blessed with two children called Debbie and Greg Dryden.
At age 81, Dave Dryden passed away in Canada.
