Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley, both of whom are inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, have shown an interest in placing bids on some of the objects that Bill Russell, a civil rights pioneer and the most decorated champion in the history of team sports, is selling off. An online auction that began a week ago and has a total of 429 items is building up to a live event that will take place at the TD Garden on Friday.
