Dekker was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 18th overall choice in the 2015 NBA draft after finishing college with a championship game run in the NCAA Tournament.

Following his senior season, Dekker was named the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year.

Mr. Basketball, Parade All-American, and AP first-team all-state honors were bestowed upon him by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association in 2012.

He played a key role in Sheboygan Lutheran’s first WIAA state title.

Dekker had a game-winning three-point shot with two seconds left in the state championship game, scoring 40 points.
