Asghedom dropped out of Alexander Hamilton High School in the neighboring Castle Heights community before receiving his diploma.
At the age of 14, Asghedom fled home and joined the neighborhood Rollin 60’s Neighborhood Crips, a smaller branch of the bigger Crips gang with its headquarters mostly in Crenshaw, where he was raised.
Hussle joined Buttervision, a Dexter Browne-led creative multimedia Digital Guerrilla organization, in 2002 when he was 17 years old. Through Buttervision, he appeared on the BV Boys Sampler, Beats & Babes Vol. 1 DVD and Shades of Butter Vol. 1 DVD.
