William was a well-known vocalist and songwriter who was best known as the lead singer for the popular Scottish hard rock band named Nazareth. Willaim had been with the band from its founding in the year 1968 till he retired from touring with the band in the year 2013

William made appearances on all the albums Nazareth released up to the year 2014. William as well toured with Nazareth for 45 years.
