His father earned his schooling at both Gordonstoun and Cheam schools. Later, he spent a year studying at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Charles received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cambridge and then served in the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy from 1971 to 1976.

In 1981, he married Lady Diana Spencer, with whom he had two children: Prince William and Prince Harry. The couple filed for divorce in 1996 after both parties’ widely publicized adulterous relationships.

Diana died as a result of a car accident in Paris the following year. In 2005, Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles, his lifelong love.
