In the critically acclaimed and financially successful Back to the Future film trilogy (1985–1990), Fox is most known for playing the lead character Marty McFly. Later, J. Fox became the star of several movies in the 1980s and 1990s, including The Frighteners (1991), Doc Hollywood (1991), Casualties of War (1989), and Teen Wolf (1985). (1996). In the lead role of Mike Flaherty on the ABC comedy Spin City from 1996 to 2000, Fox made a comeback on television.
