– Do something that makes you feel happy. Spend time with people who love you for who you are.
– Do something that makes you feel beautiful. Get a haircut, treat yourself to a manicure, wear your favorite outfit.
– Do something that makes you feel accomplished.
– Do something nice for others.

Typically, people are body shamed when they appear overweight or underweight or don’t fit society’s view of “thin and beautiful”. Our culture loves the ideology of a perfect body, whether it be in print, movies, television, or online, seeing someone who doesn’t fit the mold isn’t considered acceptable to some.

Extensive levels of body–shaming can have negative emotional effects, including a reduction in self-esteem and other issues such as eating disorders, anxiety, body dysmorphia and depression. – Criticizing your own appearance, through a judgment or comparison to another person.
– Criticizing another’s appearance in front of them, (i.e.: “With those thighs, you’re never going to find a date.”)
