How to make a Camera in Minecraft: Step by Step Guide

In any world with the Creative inventory enabled, players can make use of Education Edition Blocks. In the World/Game settings, players can change the game mode at any time.

Personal Game Mode is the one that affects the player.

Once in Creative Mode, players can access all the Education Edition blocks from the Creative Inventory. This functions similarly to the Survival Inventory but with unlimited access! Press the E key to open up the Creative Inventory.

After typing in your search term, select it from the list and place it in your inventory.

One of the most exciting new features added into Minecraft: Education Edition is the ability to use a Camera and take pictures within the game. Using the camera is functionally identical to taking Screenshots in the regular version of Minecraft. When players use the Camera, an image is saved of the current perspective. These images can only be viewed in-game through the Portfolio, a built-in photo gallery of sorts.

By default, the Portfolio simply displays tutorial text.

To fill a Portfolio with Pictures, players must set up and use the Camera block that exclusively resides within Education Edition. This block, once triggered, swivels to face the player and begins a short countdown. At the end of this countdown, a picture is taken.

Once cameras have been used at least once, players will notice all kinds of new features added to the portfolio. Teachers and students alike can flip between pages of the portfolio, following along together. Photographers can even add captions to their photos to make a point or savor a memory. With the tools given to each player in Education Edition, the Portfolio is an easy-to-use alternative to screenshots for either kids and older adults. Players can even take individual photos out of the Portfolio by pressing the download photo icon.

Q. But I want to buy the Education Edition! Is there really no way to get it?

There is a way to purchase individual licenses for Education Edition, but it requires a “Microsoft 365 Admin Account” which is different from the regular Microsoft sign-in. The cost for this version is $12 a year, and is only available as a subscription.

With the Camera at your side, your ability to create tutorials, classes, or any other education system is greatly enhanced. Portfolios can even be used to create fun memories with classmates or teachers. Photographs in Minecraft are uniquely useful because they do not exist in the main game. Creating tutorials, art, or even genuine photo albums is now very possible considering the limitless amount of perspectives available in each Minecraft world.
