In a Facebook post, she tried to explain to followers the reason for doing that anyway.
According to her, she was forced to believe that being black is dirty.
She noted that she bleached and suffered the side-effects thereof.
But now her eyes of understanding have been opened that there’s a need for her to embrace her true unique complexion.
“I used to think I was ugly. I thought being black is dirty, so I took to skin bleaching and suffered horrible side effects years later. But that is the result of self-hate.
I shared my story and got help, now I’ve learned to say: ‘You know what? I am a beautiful black woman. FanteKrobo, 100% Ghanaian ??“,Mzbel wrote.
