Nigerian-born afropop singer, Ismaila Lawal, popularly known as Cash Wale, reveal how he abandoned his well paid job in the United States of America to pursue his music dream.

“I moved to the US early 2016. I actually left my well-paid job in Ohio because I was not happy with it – I wanted to pursue and focus more on my music. Yes, it was not the right thing to everyone around me but it was to me.

“I don’t have any regrets; not even a single one, because I am chasing my dreams and that’s what matters.

“I nearly left music in 2013 after releasing my debut song Oshomolo. Things was so difficult that I had to sell some personal belongings in order to raise money for studio.” He added.

His breakthrough song: Handkerchief in which he featured Idowest had several airplays on most radio stations in Lagos.

Wale is signed to Cash Gang Entertainment, the parent label of rapper CDQ and Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi Pasuma.
