Stonebwoy says he spent Ghc50,000 on airtime buying votes during last year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) that ended in a nearby blood shed.

According to him, he is being real by disclosing the quantum of money he spent to buy votes.

He further said he was forced to return the amount he received from them as a performance fee mainly because he couldn’t perform that night.

He also bragged of spending a lot of cash on his shoes, dresses, etc. worn to the venue, so VGMA deserved to have behaved a little better than they did.

1Gad without fear or favour, said the interior handlers of the VGMAs know he won the ‘Artist Of The Year’ category based on votes and on hard work over other nominees in the category, including Shatta Wale.

He made those comments when he appeared in an interview on Hitz FM.

Last year’s VGMA was brought to a halt after Stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage after provoked by Shatta Wale.

They have since made peace.
