ID has revealed the story of a murderer, Erick Maya who is originally from Chicago.

The episode features a 13-years-old girl, Briana Valle who was the murder victim. Reportedly, she met a guy named Erick on Facebook.

After talking for days, they started dating. Surprisingly, the man who was in his early 20s back then lied to her claiming that he was just 16.

In August 2012, Briana left home to live with him. After a desperate search, her mother, Alicia Guerrero found out that she used to talk to Erick from her Facebook account.

Eventually, she tracked her down and brought her home. Then, she forbade her to talk to the person consoling her that he was too old for her.

Despite Alicia’s warning, Briana kept seeing Erick. According to The Cinemaholic, he even once proposed to her.

When the situation got out of hand, Briana’s family moved to Romeoville, nearly 30 miles away. Well, the change in the environment worked well for her as she made new friends and even got a boyfriend of her age.

However, Erick was not happy to let go of the relationship. Reportedly, he sent her threatening messages claiming that he would rape everybody from her household.

Erick Maya Sentenced To 122 Years In Prison For Murder Of Briana Velle

In October 2014, Erick Maya was sentenced to 122 years in prison for the murder of his former girlfriend, Briana Velle.

Well, Erick was obsessed with Briana. Often, he used to share his thoughts with his roommate.

Upon investigation, the authorities confirmed that his roomie testified that Erick was planning to kill Briana. Furthermore, one of his friends verified that he had given him a gun a few days before the incident.

On February 13, 2014, he carried a gun and took a cab in the morning. After reaching Romeoville, he waited for his ex-girlfriend to pop up from her house.

At around 6:50 AM, the mother and daughter were gearing up for a drive to the school. All of a sudden, Erick came by Briana’s side and shot her in the head.

Furthermore, he shot Alicia on her neck as she was screaming for help. The neighbors showed up and discovered both were lying on the floor.

A few hours later, Erick was arrested as the police found him hiding behind someone’s porch. Reportedly, Briana died from the wound after four days.
