Seppälä, who was raised in Korikobrien, was elevated to the club’s I-division team for the 2008-2009 campaign. He moved to Kouvoi the year after that. During his first season with Kouvot, he only took part in two games in the Korisliiga, but in the 2010–2011 season, he played 36 games and scored an average of 3.1 points per game.
Seppälä began playing with the Loimaa Bisons in August 2015. Seppälä returned to Kouvoi in February 2016 as a result of the team’s financial difficulties. He won the Finnish championship with Kouvoi’s squad in the spring of 2016.
In June 2016, Seppälä and Joensuu Kataja settled on a three-year contract. In 2017, he won his second Finnish championship. In the 2018–19 Korisliiga season, Seppälä recorded his best career stats, averaging 13.2 points, 5.4 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game. However, Kataja was defeated in the playoff quarterfinals. Seppälä will be a member of the Helsinki Seagulls for the 2019–2020 season.
